Fun Summer Fashion "Recipes" in Flavors of Blueberry Bliss, Sedona Sorbet, Mint Mojito
Even if you aren't technically a Cali girl, summer is certainly a fun time to dress like one: stylish, laid back, effortlessly beach-chic. The look is easy to make your own as long as you own these key ingredients:
- denim shorts (key!)
- easy-breezy perfect-fit tees
- a colorful beach coverup
- and, of course, at least one teeny weeny print'astic bikini!
John Eshaya, former Creative Director of Fred Segal (meaning: the man knows for left-coast style), recently launched JET, a collection of denim & tees in bright colors and a fabu fit - which is probably why the brand already has a following of bold-face fashionista names, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Heidi Klum & Nicole Richie. "I've always been obsessed with John's cool California aesthetic," adds Stefani Greenfield, co-founder of Theodora & Callum, a line of scarves, jewelry, shoes & bags inspired by jetsetters & globetrotting bon vivants from the late 60s & early 70s who frequented (and shopped) exotic & far-flung locales such as Morocco, Bali, Turkey, India and the Mediterranean.
"John is a trend predictor and creator," continues Greenfield, "and knows exactly the items that women want to wear to feel relaxed and beautiful." Enough to be featured in the Theodora & Callum East Hampton store this summer. Where they're just waiting to be paired up in fun & refreshing jelly bean-hued combinations.
And for extra fashion credit, don't forget to tie one on - a summer-weight scarf, that is.
