The front row at Milano Fashion Week just got psychedelic in a series of fun, pop art-inspired portraits by the Australian-born Craig Redman - better known for his artistic alter-ego Darcel, who "ill-ogs" (illustrate + blog) at Darcel Disappoints about the highs, lows & drudgery of daily life in NYC.
Redman's upcoming "Protagonist" solo show at Milan's Slam Jam Store features fasherati like Miuccia Prada, Anna Piaggi, Riccardo Tisci, and Valentino - and definitely makes them seem more fun and approachable than they appear in real life. "People normally have a pretty visceral response," says Redman. "I think there’s a hopeful optimism in the work and it’s not alienating, which sometimes happens in the fashion world." (via Nowness)
