GET THE LOOK: Say what you will about Rachel Zoe (and my-oh-my but don't people typically have a lot to say on the topic?) but the woman's undying love, loyalty and obsession with vintage YSL automatically qualifies her as a fashionista after my own heart. This brushed-wool plaid cape from the 70s/80s is trimmed in dark chocolate mink plus an extra helping of extraordinary. The trick to pulling off such a striking & obviously-vintage piece is to keep what you wear it with decidedly modern, or even better: futuristic - like these McQueen "heelless" booties. Underneath the cape, a sheath dress in burgundy makes a more interesting pairing than black, which also happens to give a girl just the excuse she's looking for to nab a fancy bag in a coordinting hue.
