Should you be looking for footwear that stands alone stylewise (like you), yet is flexible enough to flee in (should the need arise), then check out Heavy Machine. "We felt that we needed shoes that represent our point of view, and that are also easy to run away in, on any occasion. We found nothing on the market similar to what we are really looking for, so we created our own." Founded in 2009, the line was inspired by industrial machines, but made lightweight enough for everyday wear. So why dub it "heavy"? "High heels can harm your feet, legs, and your spine," they explain. "They cause women to suffer, yet they love them anyway. Which is why we named ours 'Heavy Machine' - a machine that drives women crazy to sacrifice their health for being sexy."
