The three-time CFDA winner has teamed up with the Swedish fashion chain to launch a well-edited & amazingly well-priced collection of jersey & cashmere-blend classics - body con dresses, skinny trousers, one-shoulder & asymmetric strappy tops, long-sleeve tees & sweaters, and a shawl-collar jacket - in perennially chic hues of inky blue, eggplant, and of course, black. Amazingly well-priced at 249 SEK to 699 SEK ($40 to $100), a portion of the proceeds from the Pink Collection will be donated to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer as part of the Swedish Cancer Society's Pink Ribbon campaign. "The Pink Collection that I designed in collaboration with Lindex reflects my real love for women," explains the designer, who regularly dresses SJP, Rachel Weisz, Jessica Alba, Claire Danes, and our fave Clotheshorse-in-Chief, Michelle Obama. "It is very reflective of my style, and also very reflective of modern women. It is very easy, sensual and smart. It is designed to be desired, to make you look good and also to make you feel good. To be able to create something for women and to help them as well, that is why I loved working with this collection."
Although they have been involved in the Pink Ribbon campaign since 2003, the Pink Collection with Narciso Rodriguez marks the start of Lindex's increased involvement in the fight against breast cancer as one of the Swedish Cancer Society's main sponsors. "It feels marvellous that the whole collection is being sold to benefit the fight against breast cancer and Lindex is more than willing to be involved in this issue as most of our customers and employees are women," adds Ylva Alkman, Design and Buying Manager at Lindex. "We hope that our customers help to raise as much money as possible for the Swedish Cancer Society's Pink Ribbon campaign."
The Pink Collection goes on sale October 1, 2010 exclusively at all 300 Lindex stores throughout Sweden, Norway and Finland, will be available for purchase at Lindex.com beginning at the stroke of midnight.
