The renowned French perfumery has released 150 bottles of DÉFILÉ NEW YORK signed by the founder and creator, Gerald Ghislain, for a special Fashion Week event at Henri Bendel's Fifth Avenue flagship store, where the limited edition fragrance will be on sale for one night only, Friday, September 10, 2010.
The amber-green juice was designed specifically to pay tribute to the second annual Fashion's Night Out 2010 in the Big Apple. Inspired by the crisp autumn air in Manhattan and the whirlwind of excitement surrounding September Fashion Week, Ghislain imagined this perfume as an ode to runway fashion and to New York, one of the glitzy fashion capitals of the world. Defile, meaning "procession" in French "captures the essence of the runway show, both feverish and glamorous through its varied notes. A sophisticated and feminine fragrance, one spritz will transport you to the wonderment of fall in NYC and the energy of Fashion Week."

About the fragrance notes:
TOP: A gentle breeze of fresh mint, bergamot and cut grass – a nod to Fashion Week's longtime location further downtown at Bryant Park and new Lincoln Center location, just steps away from Central Park’s grassy lawns and fresh flowers.
HEART: Opens with the smooth scent of water flowers, pineapple and rhubarb, ushering out the marine and citrus scents of summer and heralding the scents of autumn, including sweet spices like clove, cinnamon and star anise.
BASE: The aroma of Venti coffees, bite-size gourmet chocolates and licorice snacks waft out from the chaos backstage, along with lingering scents of blond wood and vanilla.
