In this otherwise vanilla video of the Rodarte Fall 2010 pre-show & backstage, at about the 1:40 minute mark it suddenly gets interesting when DVF is asked about the impact on the design duo of winning the award for 2009 Womenswear Designer of the Year. The (we would hope) media-trained president of the CFDA answers by focusing most oddly on something apparently located around, above, and behind the interviewer's head?!
We were fondly reminded of the exploits of Duke, the Doonesbury character inspired by Hunter S. Thompson who was famed for his love of better living through chemistry, in particular, controlled substances.
