Unsatisfied with the nail products on the market, editorial and celeb manicurist Myrdith Leon-McCormack - who counts Charlize Theron, Mary Kate Olsen, and Missy Elliot as clients - decided to take matters into her own well-manicured hands by founding M2M damore Jon Natural Nail Care. Born in Haiti and raised in Brooklyn, NY, only five blocks away from my grandfather’s store (meeting her proves that there are no accidents), Myrdith was raised to pay careful attention to detail, specifically hair, make-up, and nail care - more that we share in common from our mother and grandmothers.
Why natural nail care? Fashiontribes got the 411:
Aside from being socially responsible at M2M, we are conscious of our customers' overall well-being, so none of our products contain Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP; we noticed a lot of people complaining about being allergic to them, so we decided to do something about it. And the quick drying aspect of our polishes means that our users don’t have to use additional chemicals to dry their nails – like sprays and drops.2. What chemicals in other polish lines damage nails?
Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP.3. What made you decide to do natural nail care?
The whole natural nail care system is not necessarily just about the polish ingredients, because, as with all brands, it still does have chemicals in there to give it shelf life. The natural aspect of our concept is that we encourage our users to move away from artificial nails such as tips, gels, and anything that may dehydrate the nails and cause peeling, brittle nails, and instead care for their natural nails with natural products. In 2010 we intend finalize our hand/scrub lines.
The M2M damore Jon Natural Nail Care System Fall/Winter 2009 line consists of sixteen fabulous colors, each an amazing nail treatment and all named for celebrities, many iconic & beautiful black women:

Additionally, Myrdith Leon-McCormack created Kompa, a metallic bronze inspired by Haitian singer Melky Jean (sister of Wyclef) to support the Carma Foundation, dedicated to helping impoverished women and children in Haiti.
