For the Fall/Winter 2009-2010 runway show, Chanel's Global Creative Director, Peter Philips, created a limited edition collection of two mineral-inspired colors that promise to transform your nails into an accessory unto themselves. Comprised of "Jade" and "Jade Rose", the shades echo the jade jewelry, pink knits, and pistachio tweeds of the fashion collection. “For the nails, Karl wanted a green shade to evoke the jade notes of the collection," explains Philips. "I worked with our laboratories to offer him a monochromatic palette of 10 green shades. We chose the color that most resembled the green tweed skirt suit from the collection." The CHANEL Jade Nail Collection will debut at the Chanel Soho Boutique in NYC on September 10th in celebration of Fashion's Night Out, and will be available starting the following day at Chanel.com.
