Liquid Lipstick Inspired by Coco Chanel's Coromandel Screens
Mademoiselle's apartment was every bit as glamorous and fabulous as you would expect (be sure to take the virtual tour at Coco-Mademoiselle.com), especially the stunning ebony folding Coromandel screens that figured so prominently in the decor. Dating from the Qing dynasty (1661-1722), Kangxi period screens were made with multiple with panels of incised black laquer; they typically depicted scenes of Chinese life & landscapes in myriad colors including gold, and were further embellished with shell, porcelain, jade and other semiprecious stones.
The newest incarnation of the cult'y Rouge Allure lipstick comes in a sleek shiny-black case and is made up of eight elegant, super-shiny colors: Coromandel (Red), Dragon (True Red), Ming (Nude Rose), Santal (Nude), Phoenix (Candy Pink), Mandarin (Coral), Dynastie (Pink), Imperial (Deep Rose).
ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE Luminous Satin Lip Lacquer will be available in October 2009 at Chanel.com.
