Back when she was growing up in Athens, Greece, designer Mary Katrantzou had a perfume collection. “Then I got bored with it,” she notes. “And that was that.” Now Katrantzou, a recipient of New Generation funding that enabled her to debut her scent-sational runway show, takes her 'perfume collection' to a whole other dimension.

The trompe d'oeil designs by Katrantzou were inspired by the curves, facets, and form of vintage and modern fragrance flacons (Givenchy, Gaultier, Guerlain) and flatter the female silhouette. A "perfumista fashionista" favorite: the Shalimar dress (the fragrance has been an icon for over 70 years). But for va va voom curves, please send us a Gaultier Classique dress.

After all, it was Coco Chanel that claimed "a woman who doesn't wear perfume has no future."
