Fashionable Food at Fashion Week
Oscar de la Renta loves their Turkey Club so much, he's insisted it be on the backstage menu, while other designers - including Jason Wu, Preen, Tory Burn, Brian Reyes & 3.1 Phillip Lim - are fans of the Balsamic Chicken & Avocado sandwich, Raspberry Crumble Bars, brownies, and organic teas and coffees. British sandwich company Pret A Manger will be making sure no one goes hungry backstage at the New York Fashion Week Spring 2010 shows by feeding the models and various fashion folk their fresh, preservative-free natural noshes "just made" with ingredients sourced from local suppliers. “With two of our busiest locations in the Fashion District and another across from Bryant Park, we get so much traffic from the fashion set both during Fashion Week and throughout the year," notes Martin Bates, President of Pret a Manger. "This was our way of saying thank you to our loyal Pret A Manger fans."
