Kevan Hall Adorns a Dress with Real Cranberries
Look closely - those aren't beads covering this delectable Kevan Hall creation being modeled by Molly Sims, they're cranberries...more than 2,000 of them, each individually hand-pierced with a needle and dehydrated for 15 hours by a team of six food stylists who worked almost 100 hours to prepare the raw, barely-ripe berries for their couture debut. The dress itself, a lightweight cotton/silk, required a team of 15 - including pattern-makers, cutters, dressmakers, and of course, the designer himself - to be brought to...fruition.
Inspired by Dial's new AntiOxidant Cranberry Body Wash, the dress and sandals are being auctioned off at Clothes Off Our Back to benefit The Children's Institute, an organization enabling children to maximize their learning potential and social skills. Bidding ends April 6, 2009.
