Fashionista & socialite Lucy Sykes recently hosted a Recessionista truck show for XCVI, a line which specializes in luxurious cotton outfits that are interchangeable and come in a mindboggling number of fab colors (the name stands for the year it was founded, 1996, written out in Roman numerals). The spring line was previewed at the event, held at Bloomingdale's flagship store on 59th Street with numerous NYC society fixtures in attendance, including Susan Shin, Jen Bell, Lora Krulak, Katrina Pavlos, Elizabeth Reid, Melody Weir, and Mr. Sykes, aka Euan Rellie. In addition to sneak peeks, guests were swagged with Bloomingdale's Reusable Brown Bags containing light blue XCVI hoodies and a gift certificate to The Body. "Even though we are in the midst of an economic recession, women still want to look chic and fashionable," notes Sykes, former Fashion Editor for Marie Claire. "I love XCVI because it offers stylish casual looks and really fits a woman’s body. The clothes are fabulous and flattering, but so comfortable at the same time, and the variety of colors makes XCVI easy for any woman!"
