Rodarte Runway Pieces to Go on Sale Nov. 3
To launch their new online Archival Sale - offering exclusive runway pieces that never actually made it into production - Renee Klein & Zoe Schaeffer of Cali's Presse Boutique chose to partner with Rodarte. "We wanted to collaborate with a label that already had a cult following," Klein explained to Elle.com. "The Rodarte girl wants pieces that are both unique and collectible. We thought, here's a way to offer pieces that are even more rare." Seven items previously only seen by editors, buyers, and fashion insiders will go on sale starting November 3 at noon NYC time at PresseBoutique.com - including a rough crystal necklace from Spring 06, a pastel blue blazer (Spring 08), and pyramid-studded gloves (Fall 08).
Each item was hand-selected by the Rodarte designers, Laura and Kate Mulleavy. "We wanted to
offer something that almost nobody had seen," note the sisters. "Our favorite is the Shirley Kurata T-shirt, which is a spin-off of the Yoko Ono shirts based on our friend Shirley."
Available starting Monday, November 3 at PresseBoutique.com.
