A portion of the proceeds benefit Centro Espacial Vik Muniz, a group that supports arts education programs for young adults living in poverty in Rio de Janeiro; co-founder Muniz is a Brazilian-born, Brooklyn-based artist who works in a variety of mediums.
After a tour of one of the Centro Espacial facilities in Brazil, Werbowy approached Lancome (where she has been a spokesmodel since 2005) about creating products that could be sold to benefit Centro Espacial. Lancome consistently works with organizations that bring the arts to children in need and happily let Daria loose on the French product development and research teams, resulting in a palette of wearable shades that are reminiscent of the gorgeous earth tones in Brazil.
Be sure to check out the behind-the-scenes video with Daria, Muniz, and scenes from the Lancome labs outside Paris at Lancome-USA.com/BeautyBuzz.
Brazilian Earth Colors by Daria Werbowy is now available at Lancome-USA.com.
