Art, Cool Tees & NYC

From Thursday, May 29 through Wednesday, June 4, the trees in Bryant Park (6th Avenue and West 40th Street) will be adorned with art to celebrate the recent collaboration of Whitney Museum of American Art, the Art Production Fund, and Gap.

13 of today's most most influential contemporary artists have taken their iconic designs to a new type of canvas with the Gap Artist Editions T-shirts, limited edition tees created by Chuck Close, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, Kiki Smith, Cai Guo-Qiang, Barbara Kruger, Ashley Bickerton, Kenny Scharf, Glenn Ligon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Kerry James Marshall, Hanna Liden and Sarah Sze. 

So picnic near a close or play chess by a Koons, and then head over to a nearby Gap - 42nd Street & Broadway, 48th Street & 6th Avenue or 54th Street and 5th Avenue - to score one of your own.
