A Mink Covered Offer Even Hijacketer Lohan Can't Refuse
After "borrowing" a fellow club-goer's $12,000 blond mink for almost a month, the "fur-ious" owner of the mink threatened to sue, which prompted the eventual return of the coat."Reeking of cigarettes and booze with a slight tear in the lining, the fur coat was no worse for wear after a dry cleaning and quick patch-up," reported the New York Post.
However, the owner of the coat - a gift from her grandma - is still unsatisfied and is now suing because it was borrowed without permission. So NYC Nightclub owner John JE Englebert of Prime nightclub and Suzie Wong Saki lounge is cleverly capitalizing on the furry kerfluffle by offering to settle the lawsuit and buy lightfingered Lilo a fancy new blond mink of her very own.
"I know what its like to have mistaken identity. Many times people take the wrong coat thinking that it's theirs at my nightclubs," explains Englebert, acknowledging that Lohan "has always been a fixture and a party girl" in his establishments and that he "does not want her to catch a cold in this frigid start to the summer...I am offering to take Lindsay on a mink shopping spree with me, to have the coat of her choice. My motto has always been: If the coat fits, buy it."
