"I was fascinated by the clothes, but also by the photographs, which are beautiful in themselves and tell so much about a place in time," Som told Style.com about his debut collection for Blass which was inspired by lookbooks from the house dating back to 1969 and 1970. To match the chick-power vibe of the clothes, makeup artist Tom Pecheux for MAC relied on a palette of shimmery plums, and eyes lined inside and out. Studio 54-ready fuschsia and bright orange blush in that seventies "V" created "a facelift with a brush," according to Pecheux, while blotted out lips made for a Brooke Shields look a la the 1978 cover of Interview.
