Beckerman & Agyness Deyn Offer up a "Passport to Coney Island" for Spring 2008

Ahoy! nautical chic with a boho vibe

Growing up in Toronto, Beckerman twins Caillianne & Samantha, and younger sis, Chloe, learned to knit, paint & sculpt from grandma (who owned a knitting store); their impossibly cool hippie parents taught them the importance of being vegetarian, to be open to endless possibilities & how to design like free spirits.

   Formally trained at NYC's Fashion Institute of Technology, they now create their own original textiles each season, no doubt influenced by stints at Bottega Veneta, Randolph Duke, Oscar de la Renta & Bottega Veneta.

 

  In addition to their womenswear & line of bags, they design jewelry - of which 20% of the proceeds go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation in support of HIV/AIDS relief in Africa.
