To celebrate the launch of Primordiale Cell Defense, a new serum which protects the skin against environmental aggressors, Lancôme teamed up with Carbonfund.org to “offset” the environmental impact of its spokesmodels’ travel, planted 10,000 trees and the four Lancôme boutiques went “carbon free” starting on Earth Day 2007.
At Lancôme headquarters in New York, a number of recycling and energy-saving initiatives are underway, including their new collaboration with emerging design duo (& editor fave) Rag & Bone to produce a line of light-weight tees made in North Carolina from 100 percent organic cotton. Only 150 of these $50 tees will be available - in sizes S, M, L & in two colors: Cloud & Carbon - exclusively at Lancome-USA.com, and all profits will go to Carbonfund.org.
