There's a snazzy Great Gatsby'esque feel to a fedora or straw boater worn jauntily at an angle - a sort of easy dapper chic that works because it doesn't look like you're trying too hard. And black, white & stripes are always in style.
Jean Paul Gaultier's spring 2006 show for the house of Hermes showcased that easy-breezy style that women everywhere crave. In easy-to-accessorize neutrals of white & black, and fun splashy prints - should you get a jones on to wear shorts & a vintage old-man-shirt print at the same time, Hermes has the goods.
What we really loved about this show were the accessories - especially the hats. Must get me one-a-dose for spring. And perhaps even a parasol in fabric to match my dress. How chic.
