Showing WAAAAYYYYY downtown is always a bit of a risk, but apparently not for Cloak- the loft on Crosby Street in New York's Soho was crammed full of people. With the temperature hovering around 100 degrees the entire show, the audience remained, fanning themselves with their programs, admiring the clothing with rapt attention. Carine Roitfeld and her lovely daughter were plunked front row-lucky ducks-and the show was a treat and a pleasure. Nearly every item that strolled out-or rather, nonchalantly dashed down the runway-was a keeper. Although I am not sure if I know many guys who would wear the elongated dress shirts, I know many a woman who will snatch them up. Skinny pants, expertly tailored jackets and amazing vests also marched on down-who wouldn't eat it all up. It's hard to differentiate the best amongst such a phenomenal collection, but the double breasted items- leather jackets and knit sweaters-were especially divine. Alexander Plokhov is a genius. I want it all- his rock and roll vibe absolutely kills me.
