Don't Stress Because It's the Pits!
It's brutal out there. It's more than hot, it's hot, steamy hot! And you definitely need protection.. Not from the sun, but from the sweat! This is the worst thing for clothes as sweat makes clothes smell and it can discolor them if you aren't using the right kind of deoderant/antipersperant. Yes, you use one but if you are still sweating, then maybe it's time for a change. ( hmm, maybe? Ya think?)
There are a couple new deoderants out there that are a bit different and worth trying.
BAN FRESH Invisible Solid Antiperspirant /Deoderant is a maximum strength sweat killer that has something new-- the botanical ingredient, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract which acts to inhibit sweat-induced odor. (something we all want these days).
Dr. Mary Lupo, the noted New Orleans based dermatologist, stated that this new version of BAN will help control both heat induced sweat but also the stress induced sweat (mega ++++). The botanical extract ( you don't want me to spell that again) inihibts bacteria from releasing apocrine from carrier proteins. Is this too confusing? Here's the bottom line, this new botanical extract prevents the bacteria from causing odor-causing deoderant. BAN does what you want it to when you want it to!
Great news: it comes in four lovely scents.
Sweet Surrender (a lovely fruity scent that's in my cabinet.
Floral Fusion (fresh floral with green and pineapple notes-- YUM!)
Satin Breeze ( citrus and woody notes)
Shower Fresh ( clean fresh scent with fruity notes)
This new BAN deoderant comes in new packaging -- a bright green so you can't miss it on the shelf. FInd this new addition to the BAN family at your local drugstore, mass market or supermarket for about $5.00. Want more info? Visit www.feelbanfresh.com
WAIT!! Don't leave yet!! There's more to come!
Adidas launches a new product too1 Adidas Absorbant-Deo has a new ingredient that will manage
perspiration as effectively as an anti-perspirant.
CottonTech (TM) has the absorbent qualities of cotton and will absorb wetness while managing moisture in a more natural method. Adidas Absorbent-Deo doesn't contain aluminum salts which can block pores. Dryness occurs through the CottonTech formula which leaves a permeable microfilm on skin to absorb moisture (aka sweat) once it's released. (think of it as an invisible microfilm diaper so it soaks up wetness before it hits your clothes.
Here's the cool specs on it:
lasts 24 hours (!!!!)
non-staining and non-whitening (means no more white streaks on your clothes!)
100% aluminum free
alcohol-free; it contains allantoin and is perfect for sensitive skin
retails for $3.99 (less for the smaller size)
2 great scents Fitness Fresh and Pure Powder give you a light scent that won't conflict with personal fragrances.
Available at drugstores, supermarkets and mass merchandise stores.
Want more info? Visit www.adidas.com/body
Now you have tons of 411 on new deoderant. No need to sweat about things being hot and sticky. Just get thee to the store and start shopping girl!
If you have tried these products, please let me know what you think!
See you at the beauty counter!

Hi
Just got the Adidas cotton-tech deoderant today and have had dry pits for about 6 hours now...- I have been sweating and smelly like a piggy lately (all of a sudden don't know why) - been trying all different deoderants left and right.
So now only after 6 hours I feel dryer and no stinky pits. This stuff glides right on like silk and smells really good (powder scent)...I had to search for it after seeing an ad in Health Magazine...but it was worth it.

I last found Ban Basic in about 1997. I had used this for many years and now can not find it anywhere. I can not find anything that works since that time. Help me. Where is Ban Basic. It was in a semi-hour glass shape plastic bottle with a pump spray. I want to find it.
Thanks,
sh'rae smoot
HI there
well unfortunately the presentation I can't even find anywhere. I would suggest getting the customer service phone number from the back of a current BAN deoderant bottle and talk to them to see if they have the same product in different packaging or if they have a replacement product.
Let me know how it goes!

Hey Everyone. I just thought I give you all a friendly warning. If you have sensitive skin, do not, I repeat, do not use the Adidas Cotton Tech deodorant. I purchased it recently because I liked the aluminum-free option. After using it for just 2 or 3 days it left a painful sunburn-like rash on my underarms. If you do choose to try it, make sure to test it for a couple days in a less sensitive spot!

I can't find the adidas deoderant anywhere. Any hints where it might be found on a store shelf? Tried drug stores, Wallgreen's, Target. Won't go to Wall-Mart.
Thanks
Try KMart, Savon, and I would google adidas beauty products. I will see what the PR says on where to find-- but I know it's been insanely popular! If you find it on the web ORDER IT!!

I've used the adidas deo for a few months now, and it works well. considering it has no aluminum (which may cause cancer and alzheimer's disease), i'm really happy to have found it. i have the "fitness fresh" scent for women which i really like. The person above may have been allergic to one of the ingerdients, but in any case, be careful after shaving your pits b/c that's when they're are most sensitive. i've never had a bad reaction, but if i have minor scrapes from the razor, it burns in those spots for a few seconds (like putting alcohol in a cut).
** good to know! thanks for the comment and the tip! It's definitely something to consider!

I just bought the Adidas Absorbent-Deo this week, and I can notice the difference already! I used to use the Soft & Dri spray because it had less aluminum than the usual deoderant. But it never worked all day, and I would still sweat terribly on hot days and stain my clothes.
Now with Adidas I hardly sweat at all, plus I still smell fresh at the end of the day. This stuff is great!

Just tried out the new Adidas Cotton Tech deo... It works well but my armpits burn for the first hour after I apply it. Then the burn goes away and everything is fine.
I've been using it for almost a week and I'm gonna give it another week and hope I adjust because there is Alzeimers in my family.
If you are having problems with this, CALL THE COMPANY and report it. They need to know there are allergic components in it.. and you happen to be allergic to it
good luck

I have tried the Adidas cotton tech. It is so awesome. It works better than any anti-perspirant that I have ever used (and I have tried a ton of them). Although, I havent tried ban. Being the health nut I am, when I saw aluminum free I purchased it without thought. With adidas cotton tech I dont sweat and the scent stays so fresh throughout the whole day. Its amazing. Does anyone know if there is a product like this for men?

I have tried the Adidas deoderant for about 2 weeks now and I hate it. I was very impressed by the scent but this is the worst deoderant I have ever used. I bought the 24 hr and it lasts less than 2 hours. In my opinion, I think Adidas needs to stick to making shoes and give it up on the deo.

After finding out the Adidas deo sucks,I tried out the Ban. So far everything is much better and I love it.

As I said in an earlier comment, if you had problems with this product, report it to the company who is required to report it to the FDA

I just found out about Adidas cotton tech deodorant and I haven't been more happy and I've been using it for one week now. I've even tried prescription strength Drysol which has an excess of aluminum chloride. This stuff works. I haven't had any complaints about irritation yet.

I wish I had done research BEFORE buying Adidas powder fresh -- I might have saved myself 3 days of HORRIBLE rashes that extended well past my armpits down my side and onto my chest. I was looking for an aluminium free alternative that worked and at first I thought Adidas was it. I used it for a week before the big rash and no, I didn't put it on after shaving. I would call and report it to the company if I hadn't immediately thrown away the container. I had to take benadryl to get completely rid of the rash.

I can't find the Adidas Absorbent-Deodorant ANYWHERE anymore! I was only finding it at walmart and walgreens, now neither one of them seems to carry that product anymore?
Has it been discontinued? Does anyone know where to find some? Or does anyone know of another product like it that doesn't contain any aluminum but still keeps you somewhat dry? The adidas product was the only one I knew of.

I absolutely love the Adidas Cotton Tech deodorant! I am one of the unfortunate individuals who suffer from hyperhidrosis, and this product actually works!! I also like that there is a choice for those of us who want to avoid exposure to aluminum salts. I have only found it in one store where I live, so when ever I go there I buy several. My only complaint...the sent is a bit too strong and aggravates my nasal allergies. Other than that, great product!

After looking for it in Stop and Shop,King Kullen, Target, and CVS, I found the Adidas DEO at Rite Aid. It can also be purchased online at drugstore.com.

I'm afraid to use the Adidas new cotton after all the breaking out comments. It's hard to find a decent deodorant without the antiperspirant factors/chemicals. I get really bad painful cysts in my apocrine sweat glands. I use degree for men deodorant, NON antiperspirant. It works great, throughout working outside in the 90 degree heat. You still sweat though so you are prone to heat rash from the friction and being wet, and aside from slightly carrying a manly smell, I'm happy with it.

I was a campground host just last month up in Utah...A group of young people came to do the hike at our campground.....a 6 mile round-trip hike.....and left their backpacks (with their clothing changes and personal items for use in getting "fresh again" after the hike) in the trunk of the car. The temp in the parking lot was about 105 in the bright midday sun. When they returned (after 4 hours) and began getting "fresh", one girl opened her Ban solid and it had completely melted and sprayed up and out all over the walls and floor of the restroom. None of the other girls had that experience though each had deodorant also...but NOT BAN. Have you ever heard of that happening? The liquid immediately began to harden as soon as it came out of the container. No injury occurred though it sprayed up close to her eyes.(it scared the heck out of her, for sure!!) Just wanted you to be aware of this one incident that I know about in case it needs to be addressed. It may have been the new Ban, though I was so busy trying to calm her down and help her clean it off her backpack that I didn't notice anything except that it was Ban and seems it was a green container. Thanx for allowing me to make this comment. Nancy

Adidas 24 hour control has worked well at keeping me smelling fresh, but like others in this forum, my armpits start burning about 5 minutes after I put it on and is very intense. It started as a tingle and now every time I use it, it's severe burn accompanied with a rash. Like others, I bought it because it does not have aluminum. After reading this forum, I have decided to contact the company.

For years,I have only been able to use BAN - unscented (not the roll on). I have two friends with the same problem (allergy to any scents). We are unable to find your old stand by product. There must be many others with this problem. We dread trying other brands, as we have all used BAN for so many years.

I bought The Mens Adidas 24 hour deo control in the sport fever scent about 2 weeks ago. Driest 2 weeks ever, although not so good on the odor protection. However, like many others, my pits have a painfull rash that actually lasts even after a shower and a few days of disuse. I would highly recommend testing this first before switching. I bought it because aluminum deodorants leave that awful yellow stain on shirts and this stuff is supposed to stop that. Also thought you should know, the stick doesnt have contact info on the packaging, so you will have to look online for the people to contact about your rash.

Hey everyone!
After searchign online for ages trying to find a non aluminum deo. I finally found the Adidas cotton tech deo, stating clearly online its free of aluminum. I went to rite-aid, found the product, and scanned the ingredients, but the number one ingredient was aluminum. Is this what you found when you went to the store? If i am mistaken, please comment me back, or email me back at aloha.island1@gmail.com . I would greatly appriciate it, and im praying that im just misunderstood.
Thanks so much!

Uugh... Scary comments about the allergies to the Adidas. I read reviews on drugstore.com (they ARE carrying this product currently, for those who can't find it in local stores), and they seemed a lot more positive overall. Anyway, I've just purchased it, and will test somewhere less sensitive first. Thanks for the warnings! Any ideas as to which ingredient is an allergen? Has anyone found any more detailed information about this? Also, ROWAN: I noticed that Adidas has 2 deoderants out right now, right next to each other on the shelves. One has aluminum, the other doesn't. Maybe you accidentally grabbed the wrong one, or maybe the lids got mixed up...

I'm using the new adidas deo now and I like it. For a while I felt so smelly using normal sticks I had to use men's Old Spice. You know you stink when that stuff stops working. When I first put the adidas one on it tingled, but after a few days of use that hasn't been a problem. I'm not a huge fan of the scents, but no one else seems to smell me and that's what matters! It gives good protection even if I've missed a day.
Posted by: Rhonnie | Jan 7, 2008 2:36:12 PM
Yup, I bought the Adidas cotton tech - smells great, and does a reasonable job of protecting you from wetness, but the itching it causes me at night is really annoying. No rash, just a bad itch.
Posted by: Jhendsler | Jan 17, 2008 3:29:33 AM
Yikes, I just bought this Adidas Deo, Dynamic Pulse scent. It smells good and I put it on even though I have very sensitive skin because it sounded safe. Then I found this site and got scared that I will get a bad rash.
I use some other herbal type of deodorant that you get from Target and it is o.k., but doesn't stop you from sweating or smelling if you sweat a lot. But us sensitive skin guys can't be too choosey.
I guess I better didtch the Adidas deo huh?
Thanks.

UM..I can't find Adidas cotton tech anywhere. I even looked online..where did you buy yours?

I believe Adidas stopped making their aluminum-free deodorant. I can't find it anywhere, in stores or online. I am very upset about this because I was so happy to find an aluminum-free deodorant that kept me relatively dry and smelling good. I emailed Adidas to complain and asked them to return the product. Perhaps if others contact Adidas, they may bring it back. I will also keep checking here for any decent alternatives that people may find.
Thanks.

love adidas aluminum free deoderant, never experienced any kind of rash, my arm pits sweat terrible, i've had to wear layers of clothes and stay away from certain fabrics w/ this deoderant i never have sweat stains or yellowing, i am also having a really hard time finding it in stores now, walmart always had it but i cant find it on the shelves anymore, i'll write to the company to see if it got discontinued i hope not, or if they could perfect it so those sensitive to it didnt get a rash

gah. i've been buying adidas alum-free at walgreens for a decent amount of time, and now i can't find it anymore. there's other stuff, but it has aluminum in it. gah! tom's natural works, but not as good as that stuff did. i've bought a bunch of other 'natural' ones, so we'll see how this goes, but i want my adidas back. i had NO reactions!
sigh.

I love the Adidas Cotton Tech 0% Aluminum! I was getting it at Walmart and Albertsons but no longer find it there. It is made by Coty. It is possible that Adidas has removed their license to manufacture using their name. I am going to check RiteAid. I did see it on Amazon.com earlier and am highly tempted to buy a bunch. As for the rash or reactions...only a bit of a sting when used right after shaving...otherwise no problems for me.

MEijer still has one scent - which is also a new one. Ya I'm thinin they stopped carrying it, I think I'll email the company and see what's up.

Hey I love this new Adidas Absorbent-Deo. It is the best! I have never been so dry before finding this and i am so happy to see that it has no aluminum and alcohol free. I just hope that they keep on making it and maybe come out with some new scents. And i have tried anything. And found this product is the best. Thanks Adidas.

I echo the sentiments of most of the previous posts including irritation after shaving, pretty good results with hyperhidrosis, and was frustrated by me inability to find this product. Thanks to tina, I just spoke with www.discountcosmeticoutlet.com
They are offering Adidas Absorbent-Deo for 5.99 which is about twice the price I was paying for it I was told that they had to pay more for the product because it has been discontinued and that Coty is coming out with a new line. I was told that I would get free shipping if I bought 30$ or more.

Adidas cottontech is awsome. Been using it for a week now. No skin reactions, no burning, no sweating. I do like the fact that it contains no aluminum, but I'm sure the product is hardly "natural". I dig the fact that my white t's won't get stained anymore.

I found Adidas cotton tech on AmericaRx.com
for $3.79 for 2.6oz. They have it in stock. Fragrance is pure lightness.

Have been using Fitness fresh for over a year now as aluminum-free is a must due to allergies. Am also having trouble finding at locations where it used to be, so I will contact both Adidas and Coty.
Women HAVE to have an alternative to Old Spice ... or maybe we can get Old Spice to make some fragrances we would like to use. My hubby uses their Fresh scent, but it still have the original spicy undertones of their other products.
Suggestion to those with sensitive skin like mine, change your routine so that applying Adidas Cotton Tech is the last thing you do between showering with or without shaving and dressing. I've found even 5 minutes lets my skin return to it's natural ph so that there is no stinging when applying any underarm protection.
Good Luck! I'll fill you in when I here from the companies.

I love adidas deo. I had to change deoderant due to a medical problem. I switched to adidas w/o aluminum, at the time this was the only one I could find. It works wonderful. The only problem is finding it. Sometimes the stores carry it and sometimes they don't. I don't have a problem when I sweat, and I have fewer worries knowing I am not putting aluminum in my body. Thanks for making a great product.

Hello! I LOVE, I repeat, LOVE Adidas Cotton Tech! It took me about 2 weeks or so to get adjusted to it because I always used stuff with aluminum, but I'm SOOOOOOOOO glad I did! I was walking thru the aisle with eyes wandering thru the millions of deos and then I saw the huge label "0% Aluminum" and nabbed it without thinking. I love it- There are rumors about aluminum and cancer, so to be safe I switched to this. Now everyday I glide this on with confidence. :)
Thanks for the post Stevie!
